Ecosystem
An ecosystem is made up of all the living and nonliving things that interact in an area.
An ecosystem can be very small or as large as a forest. It might be the space under the rock. That space might be home to insects and tiny plants.
What is the difference between a living thing and a non-living thing?
An environment is everything that surrounds and affects a living thing. Living things also depend on many of the nonliving things around them. All the parts work together to keep the ecosystem in balance. A habitat is a home, or the place where a certain kind of living things spend its life. An ecosystem is made up of many habitats.
